Antoniya Ivanova is a Berlin-based designer working across fashion, digital products, and emerging technologies. With over two decades of experience, her work sits at the intersection of aesthetics, functionality, and systems thinking—whether applied to garments, interfaces, or complex user experiences.

Originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, she began her education in Business Economics before moving to San Francisco, where she earned a BFA (Honors) in Fashion Design. Her early career took her to Paris, working within Haute Couture, before settling in Berlin in 2011—where she launched her independent practice and two fashion labels - Antoniya Ivanova and Chance of Rain.

As the founder of Chance of Rain, Antoniya translated real urban needs into refined, functional design. The label gained international recognition for its balance of technical innovation, sustainability, and timeless aesthetics, receiving awards from the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, the German Design Council (Excellent Product Design award), and the German Ministry of Environment.

In parallel to fashion, Antoniya has built a strong career in UX/UI and digital product design, working on complex digital ecosystems across enterprise software and customer-facing mobile products. Her experience spans B2B, B2C, and enterprise platforms within large-scale automotive ecosystems. Formally trained in UX design, UI design, and Voice User Interface design, she brings a rare combination of visual sensitivity, strategic product thinking, and pixel-perfect execution to digital products.

Her interdisciplinary background allows her to move fluently between physical and digital design—connecting user needs, systems, materials, and behavior into coherent solutions. She is particularly drawn to complex problem spaces, early-stage concepts, and projects that require both creative intuition and strategic thinking.

Alongside commercial and digital work, Antoniya has developed costume and styling projects for contemporary dance, performance, film, and music. Her work has been presented internationally at institutions and festivals including Garage Museum of Contemporary Art (Moscow), Songeun Art Museum (Seoul), Futurium Berlin, Tanzhaus Zürich, Zürich Tanzt, Pasqu’Art Museum Biel, Switzerland, Nuit Blanche, Chalon-dans-la-Rue Festival, Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts, and Platoon Kunsthalle Berlin.

At the core of her practice is a belief that design is not decoration, but a process of giving form—materialising ideas, turning imagination into reality, and mediating between people and the systems they co-exist within.
